Hi Guys...I just got a Sify 128 Kbps Unlimited Package, however I only get speeds upto 16 kbps when downloading anything, that too during non peak hours.During daytime, the speed hovers around 10-12 kbps.Could someone please tell whether these speeds normal for a 128 kbps connection, or are they too low? Also what download speeds do you get for a 128 kbps connection on a different ISP and what should be the ideal speed?P.S. I do not use any download accelerators.

i think 128divided by 8 is ewual to 16. so how much do you want? that is Maximum and Idead speed.... enjoy sify

DATAONE BROADBAND - Bandwidth Meter

Testing is done with 128 KB of Sample Data. Formula To calculate your Bandwidth=(128*8)Kbits/(endtime - starttime) sec
Your current bandwidth reading is:
51.20 Mbps
which means you can download at 6.4 MB/sec. from Calcutta Telephones server located at Territa Bazar, Kolkata.
