Downloading from TATA SKY

Hi AllJust a small question for anyone who knows the legalitiesIf a company uses Tata Sky to download footage and use this footage for a business purpose without making any payments to TATA sky except of the monthly package charges is the company in question in violation of copyright laws of India ?Would really appreciate an answer with any citation if possible.Thanks in advance.RegardsThe Acid Gene

yes, If Tata Sky is the owner of the content, or the logo which they have used.

you would certaintly have to consult a lawyer on this one. i am not sure if fair use applies in india. i believe if you are not using a clip to profit from it and are using it for research or similarly justified purpose, it might be alright. but in the end, Tata Sky probably does not own the rights to the content... some or the other media company owns the rights. probably the makers of that content too.
