DTH Cos calls for licence fee cut

DTH players informed the ministry that the industry expects its losses, worth an estimated Rs 2,000 crore, to double in the new year. Dish TV managing director Jawahar Goyal said: “Industry estimates indicate that the losses incurred by the industry could double to about Rs 4,000 crore in 2009. We are subjected to a huge licence fee, multiple taxation as well as dollar-rupee currency fluctuation.” He added that the government must implement the Licence Reduction Bill to provide the DTH industry with a level playing field.

All DTH is still
1) Monopoly
2) useless/worst Customer care
3) Less Regional Channels
4) Less Channels than Cable
5) More Monthly Subscription compare to Channels provided

All DTH is proudly announcing still that they have >200 channels....>150 Channels.....>175 Channels

all are bullshit.....

They include either all Active services/channels together or Included Radio Channels together.

did they mean to say the public is FOOL.
Once STB interopetrobility comes. They will understand the actual World.

I was a dishtv customer, now I kept aside STB & watching cable with all channels by paying only Rs.250pm.

I am 100% satisfied now.
