Has prime done that before with new movies?

Loads of times. New movies last on Prime for not even a year at max. Sometimes they do return but not always. I guess production companies only allow them short term licenses or maybe Amazon doesn't want to pay too much to keep them for long. Don't know.

@soulcube Tenet has disappeared from Amazon Prime and jumped to Netflix. It was released on Prime exactly 1 year ago. I am not sure when was it taken down but probably early this year.
