Easy to use blood sugar test machine?

Need a machine preferably that lets you put blood on the strip first and then put in machine.

If not, something that is idiot proof. Accuncheck Active is a pain in the ass.

Argh. Need a regular non smart device for an uncle. Plus this one also has same mechanism as OneTouch machines where you insert the strip first.

I just checked with contour and contour next strips. The first needs to be connected to the glucometer for capillary action but the other one does it without being connected to the machine. Availability might be an issue.

yeah need something that has strips available locally. have to give to an uncle who is just realizing he has a sugar problem.

i guess i would get him the onetouch machine itself as it seems widely available and seems easier to use than dad's accucheck active where i have to put the blood dot on blinking light instead of at the end of the strip which seems like something that should be easier to achieve.

i have wasted so many strips on this.
