ESPN HD now on Tata Sky

But these guys are spoiling the HD experience really. The dreaded L-shaped ads that we used to hate in Cricket, have crept into this channel. I just cant understand that if Asli HD, Colors HD can survive without any sort of Ads, then y cant these channels do that?

When the L Shaped ads was delivered yesterday during the race ...i thought about you Jaymin...

ESPN HD was added in in TS exactly at 12 Midnight on Oct 30th...

Loved the hd telecast of EPl and damn waited for this for a long time but somebody at espn needs to realise that the scoreboard looks way out of place almost in the centre of the screen....I dont know whether its to do with ts or is it the same on other dth?? Its kinda irritating I thought...they definitely can make it smaller like the sd telecast...anyways hd telecast on TS and epl...loving it

And the commentators were very proudly telling, "For the non-HD viewers, who had an extended break, let us just repeat whats happened.....". So i guess they were torturing even more in the SD telecast.

midrace stuff jaymin. were u seein d race or listening to da commentary. 5.1 dont mean u miss the event and listen to these innuendos. the L shaped ads I can understand makes no sense to us premium users but the commentary folks cant be faulted for apologising to any part of the viewers.

C'mon, u r viewing sports, and u keep it mute? Or u listen to its commentary? V do have to keep the volume mute for some other kinda stuff, but why for sports?And actually i m not blaming the commentators as such......the situation was created due to the "malpractices" by the channel. And instead of trying to cover it up, they openly show the differences between HD & non_HD broadcast. May be trying to attract more viewers to HD, and then torturing everyone with numerous ads in HD feed too.

not arguing the idea. but a little food for thought: they are running a business after all. and decidedly so without indulging in such cheap tactics to garner viewership. if you sincerely look for it, you will still get needles in the haystack.
