POV : India learns the cost of having the same party in power for too long
@Kyle Crane Maybe later, right now I don't see many people caring about it. I remember people coming on road when there were too much LPG/petrol price hikes, and now there is chance that many people will experience issues with their vehicle, plus we'll have less mileage at the same price, but nobody seem to care. 😂

I suppose it is because all the news channels seems to be sold-out to BJP. So, they are not talking anything properly about it.

I still remember when people openly criticized Manmohan Singh and his party during the whole 2G scam, and in the end, nothing really came out of it. @Skye

The only lesson we can take from this whole fiasco is to stop trusting the govt and having faith in their so called "vision". The only way to get out of this crap is to buy a EV if your car is due for upgrade, don't buy petrol or diesel vehicles.
For older cars, getting CNG fitment would be a wise choice if your running is more than 50-60kms a day. Yes the maintenance cost and insurance premium would be higher but the cost will be recovered quickly if running is on the higher side.
Thankfully my baleno's engine is CNG friendly, like all maruti cars. I don't plan to switch or upgrade as of now because my running is very less, maybe around 1000-1200km a month as I mostly work from home now.

In other countries, people flaunt their dad's or grandfather's vintage car which is maintained in top notch condition. Here in India, we don't even get to keep our own cars because of govt's tomfoolery and greed. Kabhi NCR me 10yr 15 yr wala rule, ab vo nahi to ye E20 E27 wala naatak.

@Sushubh BJP has been silently doing influencer marketing for a long time, I remember seeing gadkari and other cabinet ministers in popular podcast channels, it felt like PR honestly. Selling fake dreams with no sense of reality.

My Maruti Car is 10 years old, but it has hardly completed 36000 Km as of now. My per month running is also 500-700 Km, unless there is long trip which happens once or twice in a year. How long can I keep it?
Kids are already asking to purchase bigger SUV as all there friends Parents own SUVs now :D

first time car owners can just forget about buying altogether lol ,i already dont like taking cabs and autos in cities other than Mumbai since i have always faced the issue of extremely overpriced cabs and autos and not to mention how poorly uber can work in different cities other than Mumbai

hence now i advocate for banning cars altogether since its harming the best culture in Andromeda Galaxy (ik we are in milky way but still we are the best culture in Andromeda galaxy)

I bought a maruti car in 2022 instead of Tata or skoda/vw because of it's reliability but with this E20 fiasco, I am regretting my decision. What's the point of buying a reliable car if it becomes irrelevant in less than 3 years of time?
The only perk I see is relatively high resale value, I can just sell it off before it starts giving any issues because of E20 petrol and ofc E27 in the near future.
EV is the way to go.
