evdo availability in vellore near vit region

hi frndsi stay near vit university in vellorei want a new internet connectionso does any body know is bsnl evdo available in vellore and will it be available in my area i am with in 1km radius with in vitpls some one help me thank u for u r replies

Just go to the nearest BSNL Customer service centre and inquire. They should be able to give you info on whether the service is available and if there is a tower near your place. Also, try your luck and ask for a demo. Catch hold of a VIT Student, they might be having one, I'm sure. Just test the speeds at your place with that before buying. Or you can just take it on rent by paying 1k deposit. Minimum hire period is 3 months. So, use it for 3 months and if you aren't satisfied, return the modem and get your money back.
