@Sushubh what was the urgency? You have to pay again at least for onu i guess coz without onu security, in excitel system request for installation on fiber is not created as the process is automated in excitel software. For wiring it depends coz for excitel fiber some dedicated cone is required in fiber. I have fiber just next to my house but since i upgraded to excitel fiber they brought the wire from place which is little bit away from my home instead of the fiber which was very close to my house due to this fiber cone thing and my lco has few other broadband companies as well

it really doesn't look like fiber is coming to my area in the near future. anyhow. would see when it arrives.

Afaik, lco has to apply for excitel fiber. It's not like excitel forces them to switch to fiber. Atleast not now

But if he already has the olt, splicer and fiber cables then why isn't he applying for excitel fiber. There is only merit. It's not like he is gonna lose something

LCO has to spend for the upgrade..
If ethernet is working fine then there is no incentive for them to upgrade to fiber.

lol. entire local network is fiber already. the problem is probably to get existing customers to pay again for 'installation'.

though the guy did tell me that a lot of people have been asking for when excitel branded fiber would come in the area. so it's more than likely that lco is either not interested or he is still in negotiations with excitel.

@Aakash Malhotra i agree with @vignesh_venkatesan. In my area many look for cheap plans instead of a company like excitel. Thats why my lco maintain lan and its own fiber for companies like netix broadband, mylink etc. as excitel fiber is exclusive and nothing else works on its olt or fiber. So for business point they keep their own fiber and other companies

excitel struggling to load t.co links from twitter? takes multiple attempts before it finally loads at my end.
