Excitel Broadband User Experience in Gurgaon

So even if your lco is having fiber till nearby pole, if he wants to shift to fiber to home, he will have to upgrade OLT as when customers are shifted to fiber existing olt won't be able to provide the necessary power.

@mikrotik why upgrade olt. LCO should only need to calculate regarding losses for fiber splitters etc and plan. AFAIK sushubh issue is different as he is getting power within working range till onu

Providing power to pole and converting then to ether is different than providing power to individual ONT. A lot more power is required and usually lco do not buy that kind of olt when they are deploying fttn network.

@mikrotik could you please explain it a bit further? How do I find out what my LCO has done? Any way to check?

Anyone getting lots of disconnections? Getting lots of connection resets and very high ping response times (500-1000ms ping times on my pihole). Happening since 9AM today.

Connection unusable for me right now. Lots of 1-5 minutes sessions in my excitel page. DNS queries failing on my pi or going above 1000ms.
I hoped fiber would have been better. Maybe LCO issue.

Saw a new IP range allocated today, not sure if it has been posted here.

Used to be one of these two: 103.211.14.0/24, 103.211.16.0/24
Now it is 139.5.242.0/24

1.1.1.1 is also going to Singapore now (with a few packet losses once a while). Can anyone check this on their end?
