Excitel has blocked entire Alibaba (US) IP range

I am baffled on what to say on current take on blocking in our beloved country. I use Alibaba AI APIs and was working well so far with my primary (ACT) ISP. Yesterday failover kicked in and changed to excitel. I spend entire yesterday to find our what the heck is going untill today I traced the problem to excitel blocking. Upon further inspection the entire /17 range is blocked. WTF is this man. First it was supabase blocked without no reason. Does current ministry living in ICE age and does not understand the concept of shared hosting?

Lol another range is also blocked belongs to same Alibaba US.- 43.106.0.0/16

They previously also blocked Apple servers /17 range. It took them 6-8 months to fix this issue after many follow ups

Probably because of the recent finding of compromised CPEs and end devices in Indian networks.

Rather than fixing Chinese compromised firmware and having secure defaults with atleast a stateful firewall in CPEs, easiest solution for jugaadu Indian ISPs would be to drop entire IP ranges which are not even C2 infra, those ranges were probably being attacked.

Same here. my Robo vacuum (Narwal Freo X Plus) runs on Alibaba Cloud , the entire company's infrastructure is in singapore Alibaba cloud.
The robot has been dead since last 10 days because Excitel has blocked all traffic to Alibaba Cloud. their server https://universal.narwaltech.com is blocked.

i had to run a VPN endpoint server in my home and connect my robot to it and do some other circus to get it working.
