If hathway is providing direct connection then it is Rs6,666/- per year for both SD and HD. If the connection is through a local cable operator then he will charge his commission. In this case he is charging Rs150/- per month as his commission.

How will you / did you make out that it is not 5.1 sound? I think anyone's ears can't make out that!

Which part of Bangalore are you in? I stay in Nagarabhavi, BLR, but my LCO says therez no Hathway HD yet. But I keep pestering him and he says he has no info yet... :-(
Some LCOs are not aware of HD. Even my LCO was not aware when HD was launched. I made him call his bosses and got it done. You might have to do the same thing

Hathway HD is not providing 5.1 sound.Now am using hathway HD and my home theater showing PCM 48.that means my home theater converting the stereophonic sound in to fake 5.1 sound..by the way am having Airtel HD STB also and I was checked the same channels with Airtel HD in Airtel HD EG star HD channels ,discovery HD,Ngo HD all r giving Dolby Digital 5.1 sound where as hathway stereo phonic sound.

There is a an option in the HD STB to change it to Dolby. Have you tried that?

I know man..I did it.still it is coming in Stereophonic sound only.even in Hathway website also they dibnt mention about 5.1 sound check it.

I confirmed with my cable operator regarding 5.1 surround sound. Hathway in Bombay was broadcasting in 5.1 until recently when they stopped due to some technology issue. They will restart the 5.1 surround broadcast in sometime. Currently its stereo broadcast only

Even PCM 48 is a 48Khz multi channel audio. So, it can be 5.1 sound.
