Extremely slow dl speed 5-10KB on UL750

Hi, I got broadband this evening. Was so excited but the download speeds have disappointed me. The download speed I am getting is 5-10KB (yes, i tried on different servers, even ftps).Some more detailslan : Home UL750Connection : D-Link 502T Router connected via ethernetADSL Mode : G.dmtSNR Margin : 6 12Line Attenuation : 4 1Phone line has little noise too. BSNL portal download speed testing tools show download speed in the range of 256-500, while sppedtest.net shows 130Kbps while upload is 434kbps. So that makes to think that the noise shouldnt be the problem as upload speed is very good as you can see.What should i do?ThanksEnLi

your SNR Is low.. that has nothing to do with the cable cut .. ensure that all your telephones are connected after splitter..thats probably the reason for noise in telephone ..

I connected modem cable in another room with line splitter and there is no noise now. Also speeds are improving which is great.Torrents on 30KBps..:yahoo:
