In latest firmware, Telnet option has been removed or disabled by Airtel,
So it won't work,
So we need to access the modems internal serial port and need to flash the old firmware using usb to serial controler.
Old firmware has telnet enabled,
After flashing the old firmware then we have to follow this step.
I have done like this and its working.
Now i am using Airtel zte modem with my railwire broadband.

Brother @castro, what a coincidence! That's the exact issue I ran into, today, while trying to unlock my friend's ZTE F670L. It was also a v9 with some new firmware, it's apparent now.
I'll happily teardown and flash it with an older firmware but not sure how keen he'd be on letting me do this lol

Can you share the link to the older firmware though? Also, please upload some photos of the internals, if you happen to have them.
