Under the new system, commuters will have two choices:

Annual Toll Pass: Available for a one-time payment of INR 3,000, this pass would allow unlimited travel on national highways and expressways for a year.

Lifetime Toll Pass: Valid for 15 years, this pass would require a one-time payment of INR 30,000, eliminating the need for frequent toll payments.

According to reports, these passes will be incorporated into the existing FASTag system, allowing for a smooth transition without the need for extra devices or costs.

Lifetime Toll Pass looks much more worthful than Annual Toll Pass. (best to buy at New Car purchasing time).

But,
Hon'ble Supreme Court in WP No 13029/1985 (M.C Mehta vs. UOI) vide its order dated 29.10. 2018 directed that all the diesel vehicles more than 10 years' old and petrol vehicles more than 15 years' old shall not ply in terms of the order of the National Green Tribunal dated 07.04.

I think they should work on 15 Years Validity. (specially for Trucks/Buses/HMV) which works on Diesel.

Otherwise,
Annual Toll Pass x 10 years = Rs. 30,000 (if Diesel Vehicle owners buy it)
Annual Toll Pass x 15 years = Rs. 45,000 (If Petrol Vehicle owners buy it)

So overall, It looks like Diesel vehicle should go with Annual Subscription whereas Petrol/CNG should go with Lifetime Toll Pass.

Unless, Anything new is released/updated in this like restrictions of usage etc.
 
easier would be to just raise registration price by 10-20% and get rid of all toll plazas. 15 years is a long time and there is no way they are going to honor this deal.
