Can't you force connect to a WCDMA/3G?

E = 2G effectively.

that means ur not getting 3g signal inside, take ur phone outside or at roof wherever signal shows h or 3g instead.
also do small data recharge first or balance will soon disappear

20rs give 250MB valid for 2days.

I recharged for 99 (500MB, 30 days). Just for the purpose of testing.

Even called the customer service and raised a complaint.

Another bad news, the 1650 unlimited plan is no more. That was the prime idea behind getting the MTNL. Still the 3G plans are at least 33% cheaper than other players.

I so wish the reliance jio gets rolled out soon. Wrong expectations may be but it's tough to stay without high speed Internet these days. Wonder how I'll stay without my daily dose of YouTube junk. Sad days ahead for me, it seems.

i will recommend a reliance sim instead. on buying a new sim within first 90days one can recharge with 89rs to get 1GB of data valid for 30days as many times as you like.

Buy another sim after 90days if you like. Also you can carry previously recharged data with normal 3g packs after 90days.

Reliance got better coverage n speed than Mtnl.
