most probably another case of not reading the complete post..its in two parts, vishalJ...follow it to the word and u will have bridge mode up and running in no time.BTW in that post on 2nd page i have referred to setting up bridge mode on windows XP. If u have any other OS like 95/98/me etc u have to use RASPPPoe coz they dont come with inbuilt PPPOE dialer like win xp

ya Vishalj read the post and follow all steps, nobody has problem with bridge mode and nobody should have problems with it...

well, regarding ur question of Rs. 250/- rental, that's for the phone...i believe...

But I never use the phone.. I think I'll try and call 1504 and ask them if I could cancel the phone thing as I don't use this number to make outgoing calls.I'll try the bridge mode again...

not using the phone doesnt mean u dont have to pay the rent....when u rent a phone they give u 'x' free calls!

vishalj.......i guess u 1st did apply 4 a Phone line & then an ADSL connection. ;) So d Phone rentals r bound 2 b charged. And I guess 250/- is the rental 4 MTNL Economy Plan 4 Phone.

yeah I guess I'll just have to start making calls using this line too. I earlier has the Internet Plan B from which I couldn't make outgoing calls so I guess that could be a problem. I think I could go to the Mtnl office and still talk to them and ask them to cancel it from the next bill.Who knows they might just do it as I'm sure many others must have had the same issue with the billing.

MTNL offers a 160 plan as well with no free outgoing call..thats the minimum rental i think for them...

now they've launched a plan having no rentals for a year or so...don't remember exactly...if u have an existing phone...
