change your dns server from automatic and assign to the ones which are available for free on google.
Problem is not DNS one, problem is with routing, Domain IP are resolving just some local router is having problem. you can see problem after tracing problematic sites, its not getting routed

There is indeed some issue with BSNL 3G with some sites. These sites are not working for me in Bangalore:

Stack Overflow
Server Fault
Super User

Yahoo Mail is working for me.

I really don't understand why such silly problems come for the customers. Hope BSNL rectifies it fast.

Dude our *BELOVED BSNL BABU's* are on holiday spree, do not ruin their holidays pleeeeeeeez :P

@kunalgautam - yes I agree it is not the DNS problem. But what is this routing problem/funda?

I am not a expert in networking, but like we change DNS to fix some of our problems... in this case, is there any way to make changes to routing through some tcp/ip commands?

btw, here is the tracert output of working site(link-removed) and non-working site(stackoverflow). I am wondering if the problem is from bsnl 3g or something else?

Same problem here, many sites not opening. Also change in ip, and speed drop significantly. Infact now i dont even get UMTS/HSDPA range, its gone for most of the time and now it shows EDGE.Yahoo mail website is opening, but not signing into yahoo messenger.Anyways, i have registered online complaint. Lets see.

Is this a permanent problem for BSNL 3G Custommer? I have been noticing stackoverflow down from last 2 weeks. Also, many sites were not opening ? Any expert have an idea how serious is this problem ? Will bsnl ever be able to fix it ?
