Hello friends, I was so sick of 1:4 ratio policy of airtel that finally I got my Airtel BB disconnected today and I have told them the reason for disconnection " Moving back to MTNL which provides 1:1 ratio till 512 kbps plans". I guess this is the only way airtel is gonna listen to us for ratio thingy. Made n number of calls and mails to CC/Nodal but they always repeat "We can provide 1:4 ratio not 1:1" **** OFF, GOODBYE AIRTEL BROADBAND.:P

boss Airtel gives full bandwidth as promised.. Ive been getting 1mbps non stop from the day i got the plan..

well may be depends on number of users in ur area sharing same line. more the users lesser the speed wud go.

actually what he is saying is the stupid thing whihc airtel has done by reducing the upload speeds................many of us needs tht as well

Strange, they have always offered upto 80% of advertised speed since i got them yrs ago. Airtel can't maintan that on a 1:4 contention ratio.I'm only on the 256kbs (should be 384kbs) plan tho..Does the story change with Airtel's higher speed plans ?

i am getting 200kbps upload speed in 256kbps unlimited plan:),also i can download any file and play online games without lagging at the same time

yup me also close to 200kbps upload speed on home 799 plangetting 20 to 24kBps upload speed

Seems you all are big time ignorants and don't even read posts in this forum properly...

Why don't you guys just read this: https://broadband.forum/airtel-broadband/28639-airtel-broadband-999ul-plan-reduced-upload-speeds/

And yeah this 1:4 ratio thighy is there only in NORTH INDIA so stop saying you have enjoying 1:1...Before 28th May even "WE" were getting 1:1 ratio...but now they give only ****ing 1:4 ratio...Whats the use of having 384kbps Down and 96-128kbps UP speed in 999 plan if you can't even talk properly on Video Chat HUH:whistle:

well may be depends on number of users in ur area sharing same line. more the users lesser the speed wud go.

I guess you don't even know what you are talking about. Dude that happens in Cable Internet NOT on DSL...if they (ISPs) maintain throughput discipline.

and even if you think you are right that should happen with "BOTH" download and upload speeds not just "ISOLATED" upload speed reduction...read things properly before being sounded like "EXPERTS" huh

whoa! Dr on Fire!btw we are not supposed to keep track of what u said in other thread. when u mention something u need to be clear that u r talking abt upload speed, which u didnt mention in ur post (unless u edit the post now)OR either put a reference to thread in ur first post itself OR better continue in same thread instead of creating a new one.oh and one more btw, load balancing (yeah thats what it is called) can be done even on DSL but its different matter that u think that it cant be done. so for you everyone becomes dumb and dont know what they are talking abt.
