see. watching porn i believe is legal in india as long as you do it in your home or whatever. child pornography is not legal in any form. laws are different in different countries. rape of course is not legal anywhere (i hope).

a song with absurd lyrics is very different from a video of actual task happening. similar to how me using mothers and sisters profanities in public. it does not really mean that i am ok with the same 'acts' being committed.

Sexual confusion as in teenagers are just discovering this whole sex thing. Sex and related issues are new to them, so it's a who clusterf*ck of emotions and feeling. Rather than doing something foolish, maybe listening to such music can calm them down or give an outlet.

P.S it's only a possibilty, this mighn't be true, but maybe and possibly explain the audiences.
 
I would be fine if he sang it in front of my family only if my family was listening to it by their choice.

What about if they are standing at a bus stop & this guy sings this. I think your recommendation to your family would be to walk away, correct?
 
Non veg food, and brutality on someone, especially the physically weaker person, is certainly different i believe!

No i dont. But say my stand is that all porn is demeaning to women, and people watching any sort of porn should be thrown in jail, is that okay with you?

why? killing animals are fine just because they are animals and not humans? tell that to peta. there are lots of people out there who believe that animals and humans should have the same rights to life (and whatever). in fact, a lot of people who would not think twice about eating meat hate the idea of whaling in japan. so why should whales have different rights than chicken? or maybe rights change from one animal to another based on how close they are to extinction?

Nope. IMO, actually if u r sane enuf, u wont need a gf to an extent, if u can manage on it. :p So basically it wud be helpful to an extent.

Now thats a different topic altogether. But still, theres a difference between satisfying lust/satisfying the sadist within a person, and satisfying a basic need known as hunger.
 
see. my parents are vegetarians. but they do not mind me eating meat. but i would not eat meat in front of them (chicken soup is fine though).

now expecting them to let me have my cook prepare non vegetarian food is well not fine as well. same case with such songs. my parents might not be fine with them. i am fine with them. i would not play them in front of mom and dad. but that does not mean that no one should have the right to make their own decisions on whether they want to listen to it or not. :)

We are going a bit offtrack here (if its all responding to my arguments that is). There are few things you need to choose from
A) Law is not there
B) Law is there, but I dont agree with it
C) Law is there & I agree with it, but I have a problem with "your" understanding of it.

For A) - the answer is that its obvious that it is there
B) - Well, Feel free to strive to have it amended
C) - That would be what we would be discussing & debating here.

And thats what I am trying to do here. Asking "you" to define decent or accept my definition. And then debate on top of it.

And like other stuff for me the debate/issue is about public availability, broadcast and usage.
