A first information report (FIR) was filed against Punjabi rapper in Lucknow on Monday over allegedly vulgar lyrics of his song, the complainant said. The complaint was lodged by senior Indian Police Service officer Amitabh Thakur for the "extremely vulgar and indecent songs" like "Main hun balatkaria" (I am a rapist).

But AK's page has said that it is still on Unofficially.....and they are requesting everyone to boycott it/complain against it.......urging everyone to not to support this concert.
 
Retarded in my opinion. Are we so idiotic that we need the song banned to realize that the singer and all his songs are idiotic? maybe they should also start protesting against all the item songs in bollywood.
 
C'mon, read the lyrics.....they have put up an English translated version of it in a gist. It sounds really in bad taste - just trying to glorify rapes.
 
Sane people won't hear the song. The solution is to have a society where no one hears his songs and his career dies a natural death.

and BTW Honey Singh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia says the song came out in 2006. what were these people doing for 6 years?

Did you see the movie which caused batshit insane protests in islamic countries. did the US remove it? No.

If someone is so stupid that he hears a guy who is named after a toy and gets inspired to commit a rape, then that person needs help.

Dont know that, but i guess, they are urging everyone to do just what u suggested......"Society shudnt listen to it and his career dies a natural death". Reminding everyone time and again is needed in a country like ours, where there are more people who have dual personalities......on 1 side they cry foul over such acts, but they themselves act the opposite. A case in point is the men who go the protests that are on in Delhi, just to grope the girls there. Sick :|
 
his songs are vulgar and i am sure lots of people here have heard them. the point is, you cannot at one time ask for freedom of speech and expression and then criticize a singer for singing vulgar songs. unless he is provoking violence against someone, he should be able to sing whatever he wants to. it is as simple as that. you may not agree with the lyrics of his songs. same way others might not agree with your point of view about lots of things.
