:D Don't be so sarcastic bro. Let's see the new BB10 1st. I still have hopes with them

look at the big picture. they are offering nothing new that we already do not have. anything new, rivals are in the process of adopting and they would be out by the time bb10 devices go on sale. their app ecosystem would have to be created from scratch. most apps would be poorly ports from android or ios. windows phone could not make a dent in the sales of android and ios... what does blackberry has to offer?

Well, a lot of apps would be hopefully native, and dont forget, there are some good ports & also a lot of playbook apps would work just fine. I was reading about over 1 lakh apps at launch time, but cant say. They have been pushing devlopers with lot of freebies etc for developing a Native App etc.

But don't you think it's too early to comment on this. They have talked about launching cross platform App and some convergence too. I agree that they Are hugely Lagging in terms of transformation and innovation but they have chances to survive if not compete with others

Question is why would you pick A blackberry over android when one company is the market leader and another is playing catchup? It's not like RIM would be able to sell their devices at significantly lower prices. In the end they are going to buy components from rivals like Samsung.

Plus if they do eventually license the OS out, it could be something that even other companies like HTC may look to, to try & bounce back. I am not saying they are going to thrash Apple or Android. But the No.3 spot is up for grabs, also they make the phones and are still in the Top 5 smartphone makers, even before BB10 is out.As "you" have said - Android works for you, there are iPhone fanboys and there are blackberry fanboys, or even Nokia or some even Windows fans, we even see online a few people still hold a candle for Palm WebOS. And if everyone had thought the same way when Android was born, it would have never "become" the market leader.

Quality of hardware has already downgraded. When I compare my Curve with present ones , I still feel happy for my 4 year old blackberry. And frankly speaking android phones are very slow as compared to BB. But it would be unjustified because I am comparing touch phone with a qwerty phone. It would be interesting to see if BB10 would be faster than android or not.
