It depends on the seller. If a seller is not offering open box delivery, by all means it should be avoided.

I took a risk with this one. Got one of the best offers, but before making the payment it clearly showed open box delivery. Which disappeared after the order was placed and customer care confirmed that it was not going to be an open box delivery, nor was the seller offering any replacement. Just to confirm, I placed another order which clearly mentioned an open box delivery, which disappeared again after the payment was made. All in all, the product was sealed pack and appears to have been made/imported in September 2023. 1 year warranty upon registration.

Experienced same for another Apple product in flipkart couple of months back. While ordering it shown open box delivery, but once order placed, option was no more. Luckily there was no issues and got sealed pack.

Seller name was "TREASURE HAUL ONLINE"

I dont understand why flipkart even charges a packaging fees if they provide this cheap cardboard
just look at the packaging of Apple official website and it is just of another level, even for a simple watch strap they just pack it like they they do it for their iPhone even their cardboard quality seems premium .

I see that you are complaining about cheap cardboard which offers near to no safety. Look at the courier service used to deliver my order.

When I placed the order, it was to be delivered in 3-4 days max. Seller sent the product via Ecom Express. It came crawling. 🤷‍♂️
