Today I received email from Freecharge stating to buy from eBay to get 9% discount (by using Freecharge wallet)

Wonder why wud snapdeal (owner of freecharge) do that?

trying to increase freecharge transactions so that they get better value for freecharge when selling it.

also ebay isnt even in the same league as snapdeal

I wonder why this card is named as Virtual Credit Card instead of Virtual Debit Card? Pls explain

What difference does it make... i think they shut it down.

Right. Not sure if the virtual card ever made a comeback. Snapdeal is currently running on fumes. In talks to sell all individual components. I believe Axis Bank is close to acquiring Freecharge. Maybe it would get a proper virtual card through their platform. But it still would be a pretty restricted virtual card. Unless of course, Axis has bigger plans for it.
