Hi! Few months ago my router stopped worked because of the failure of some internal component, so the excitel people gave me a new router, it was smaller compared to before but the interface seemed better. After few months, randomly the 5Ghz suddenly stopped working (on the router too the 5Ghz light disappeared). Then i started rebooting it once a day but it still occurs few times a week. I also noticed that it has high temperature, like rn it's 56 degree

Also the most annoying thing was limiting the LAN speed from 1000 Mbps to 100 Mbps for unknown reasons. I have another router connected via LAN on ground floor to the Excitel modem. Randomly it gets limited to 100 Mbps and the download/upload speed & latency become shit (it's not my router issue as it happened with my laptop on ethernet too, and also not wire issue since rebooting it fixes it)

The support just restarts the router and hope it fixes it :/

the temperature reading you're worried about is from optical module and 50c is common there i had richerlink onu worked constantly at 55C for 4 years and current optilink 9100rs is at 71C
second the 100mbps issue, that can happen with wire fault, i run 4 router in manual mesh with cat6 wire to connect them all, faced that restart works at 1000mbps then switched to 100 or 10 few time and every instance for me was result of rat chewing on wires.
third 5ghz - definitely a shitty router, mine Tenda n300 suffers from same

Thnx for the reply. Guess i will get the router replaced, hopefully better one this time.

The temperature feels hot when touching it, i think it might be going higher, will monitor it.

Regarding wire, I will look into it

Thank you
