Hello everyone. I hope this finds everyone in good health.

To be short about this, I'm looking for any experiences and stories people may have on a particular fiber standard I recently came across, G.657.(A/B), which some may have come across as being sold by a company called lightera as InvisiLight.

I'm writing this in the router/modems/dongles sub-forum on the assumption that this is within topic, if it is instead a better fit for the subforums under Online Shopping I apologize in advance for the incorrect

I recently got to watch Apalrd's video on using fiber connectivity inside of homes. The fiber that Apalrd had used was a G.657.B3 standard fiber by a company called lightera and sold as InvisiLight. Apalrd's video showcases this fiber going around tight corners and it even survives being tied into a knot. The company is foreign, and Amazon lists this above a whopping ₹45,000 as of writing this post.

I tried to look up for alternate sellers in India for this product, or even any fiber product being sold meeting the G.657.B(2/3) standard as is InvisiLight. I don't want just the fiber itself as then I'd need a splice machine to join in the pigtails and those machines can cost one lakh! As per the Fiber Optic Association, fibers made to meet the specification of this standard are meant to withstand bend radius below a centimeter (which is around that of a AA battery's cylindrical width).

If anyone else has any experience in installing, using, procuring, fiber cables of this standard I'll be happy to hear you out and learn more of what you have learnt.
