By the way i would like to share my experience reg. gaming through a laptop....I have a Dell inspiron 1545, c2d T6500 2.1ghz , 3GB,256mb Ati 4330 configuration. This may not sound enough for today but trust me i have been able to play almost all latest games through this systema few demanding games which i have played Crysis 2, far cry 2 , COD black ops and many many more.....The only game which i installed but couldn't play was NFS shift 2 unleashed, it required at least 512 mb ram hence it crashed on starting. Hence my suggestions will be to at least go for 512 mb ded card if not 1gb.About the GPU my card was 4330 today's are 6xxx series( 6xx for nvidia), anything like a 5470 or a 6xxx card will be more than enough for a 720p display with decent settings. The least you should worry about is the processor, ram etc. any i3 1st gen or 2nd gen will do easily. Now u can do a market research and find a laptop with such specs, price? well i don't know about the present prices but most prob. u have to stretch a 4-5k.

.

dude there no way you can play those games on those configs !!! expect maybe cod bl ops, Crysis is a benchmark game for pc's and it would fry your mobo and card even on medium settings on that config , hell it would not even load . most new games reguire a mimium of 512mb that is basic for medium settings with fps like 25 to 20 what you really need is 1gb to 2gb in sli crossfire to really max those games and there is no way to do that on a notebook expect from alienware ones.

proc is no problem as you said a new gen i3 can handle anything it is the gpu and psu which is the muscle behind the game if you are hardcore gamer.

I think it can handle it...My brother have a toshiba satellite something and it runs ( ya just runs the said games ...) on 128 mb graphics and that too an integrated oneI see no reason why a 256 mb dedicated graphics wouldn't be able to play games

i assume that most people here have a very different definition of hardcore gamer then!

256mb, 512mb, o\ facepawgraphic card alone can't do things.. 25-28k price laptop is for social network lifers, if you want to game hard, even in low res, go for at least 45k budget.

lol 128 on board card won't even load GTA san andreas which came out in 05 :P

these are the minimum requirements for crysis 2

GeForce 8800 GT PC Gaming Graphics Card Hardware For Game System Requirements

these are minimum card needs , on these fps will 25 to 30 and the game will lag like hell !!

GeForce 8800 GT PC Gaming Graphics Card Hardware For Game System Requirements

and remember these are minimum ones, i run this game on a intel core I7 2600K on 6gb ram ddr3 and gtx 580 i updated the gpu just for this game but with it i am safe till next year hopefully.

yep it depends on how you game i don't like lags or low fps , and nowadays games look better then HD movies :D
