Chk ur speed in the router...... is the downstream set at 8192 kbps??

download some files from internet and confirm whether you are really getting slow speed.
Some times speedtest.net result are not accurate.

Bro, open up 192.168.1.1
user pass is usually admin/admin, open it up and check the bottom for downstream
It should be at least 8192 kbps, preferably 10000 kbps for true value for money.
I have DSL_8Mbps_1050, getting ~7Mbps, but more than 1km away, and ~840kBps in torrents

i have a SAM300AX modem provided by mtnl i dont know the id/pass to login into 192.168.1.1 and admin/admin is not working

also i have a D-Link DSL-2520U MODEM

can any1 provide me with mtnl settings
and tell me how to adjust downstream value on dlink DSL-2520U

To adjust downstream you have to send an email to triband helpdesk, worked in a day, but you can call 12540. As for user/pass,
try phonenumber@a (e.g. 27721504@a) and password as CA number

If all else fails, press the reset button, then connect using admin admin and call 1504 to set up your router from scratch.

I had to do this just last week when I wanted to change my plan, but it lets you check downstream so the hassle is worth it.

emails won't work much in such cases. Better results through phone calls or personal visits.
