LOL main article says, "Findings were reported by Gigaom!" And I thought u never believed in him or he has annoyed you enough in personal life! Also according to comscore itself Yahoo mail had 310 million users in Oct 2011 (wikipedia).Yahoo mail may have down fall but I doubt Yahoo mail will lose 30 million just in 1 year.
1. gigaom first reported the comscore report. a lot of news articles tend to credit the first source they located for a specific news. engadget for example can credit as many as three links for a single story. i do not have same standards. so basically, it is not a gigaom research report... it is a comscore report. 2. this is based on comscore's own measurement of unique visitors to these three services. it does not technically prove anything. having users or even active accounts do not matter when these users are not logging in even once a month. i understand your fondness for yahoo mail but comscore's report put it on the third spot and that's it. there are no confirmations by hotmail or yahoo or even gmail.
