i do not have it active on my own account right now but yeah it is a good feature to have. would have been nice if google allowed third party apis for integration. i am sure Dropbox would have created a plugin to add support for their own cloud storage platform. the biggest issue remains, google drive prices are insane.
Does Gmail (with Google drive support) send link to the file or attaches actual file as attachment to e-mail?In case it just sends a link, what happens if I change file permission after sending it? The original recipient will no longer have access to link? What if I change content of the attachment? Will recipient still be able to access original attachment or the changed one?I can run a fraud if I can alter the content after sending the email!!
google drive links are sent as part of the mail. this comes handy when your attachments are larger than 25MB. sending mails from inside drive has an option to attach the file inside the mail if you do not want it as a link. from the blog post, i do not see google offering the option to attach the file itself rather than just the link.
