does each backup lock codes works only one time?

* Yes backup verification codes (8 digits) work only once.
* An application-specific password (16 characters password) should work always. (generated at http://www.google.com/accounts/IssuedAuthSubTokens

Thanks

they are rolling it out from today to all accounts. so it would take a couple of days/weeks for everyone to get it.

This is just to get more data on the individual.I had deleted my account in 2009\10 due to privacy reasons.I had my account since gmail's inception circa 2004.Now when you create a new account they want your mobile ph for sms verification.
well here is the loophole
â–ºHow to make Gmail accounts without SMS verification

another stupid thing i did was to link my youtube acc with gmail account some 1\2 years ago.I had delinked it but everytime i logged in i was told to link my accounts or continue as is.So in in the past month i linked it again and when i tried to delink i was told that from now on you have to link youtue accounts

so to have a youtube acc,you need gmail account and to have a gmail account you need to have a phone number and a back up landline number=mass surveillance

GOOGLE IS EVIL

GOOGLE is turning evil.. agree... but as far as this feature (2 step process) is optional.. i dont think there is any harm...plus this is a good feature...considering that password tracing/cracking is becoming easier these days.P.S. I still havent got this feature.

not to mention the fact that if u r using their browser or their public dns u have already been profiled and like i said before their profiling database strangely has free access by their federal and intelligence dept but if other countries ask for access they say its private and confidential and google do not allow anyone to access them lol. Looks like they have sold themselves to the devil long back.

it will be available soon
just login to account settings and you will see the message.

I got it enabled earlier from one member here only. see other posts in this thread.
