My nexus 7 is still with 4.2.1, I hope it will change in a while

From what I understand Google has not even acknowledged this update.

That will change only when they are ready with ota updates for the nexus devices. Before that i don't think they will acknowledge it.

Hopefully this update would fix issues like battery life, early thermal throttling, display calibration and possibly the slight buzzing sound on earpiece issue on some Nexus 4 handsets.

earpiece buzzing is a hardware issue and i am learning to live with it.

apparently this update has started rolling out to nexus devices including Galaxy nexus!

Yup. And surprisingly Nexus 4 is not in the list yet. Only Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and 10 right now.
