For a first time since owning nexus 5, notification light showed color other than white and worked for third party app (Tapatalk itself). Else, had to use aftermarket solutions. No idea if its because of lollipop update as I am using notification LED app since long time.

i do remember seeing the color option in some apps. never played with it. hate led lights. it was fun on the nexus one but never liked it after that

Yes. In Nexus 5, notification light is set of few LCD pixels instead of actual LED. Feels kind of weird for some colors.

Sucks to be stuck with a phone that does not have active notifications and fast recharge

Fast recharge is enabled but i think its equivalent of Qualcomm quickcharge v1. I remembere Google talking about how nexus 5 charges faster than others, when it was released. And it actually is pretty fast. For me, takes no more than 90 mins to charge from 0-85%. After that, it kind of slows down.

I must be the last of my breed who use the device without any code Though it is a very stupid idea I agree.

You mean without any modification?

If yes, then it kind of is stupid for Nexus owner. To those who don't like doing customizations on own, I straightaway recommend Sony or HTC.

I do not remember exactly. But considering Tapatalk has options for different colored LEDs, it should not require any special OS modification
