This is incredibly frustrating. I've been using YouTube Premium for the past three years because it's unbearable to use YouTube without it.

Since around June 2022, I've had to manually purchase Google Play codes to make payments, as none of my credit or debit cards work with their system.

Today, I couldn't even do that, and now my whole family is bombarded with an absurd number of ads on YouTube because Google has introduced some weird issue when trying to pay.

This is just awful as when i click on the "FORM" thingy it opens nothing
what am i supposed to do
heck irctc has a call support thing ,meanwhile its a pain to do that for google or something
jeez

iirc someone mentioned that google play balance payment fails if the balance is too close to the amount being charged. you might want to try adding 100 rupees and try paying again?

my payment gets deducted on 19th iirc. would be annoying if it fails for me as well.

@Sushubh I don’t think that’s the case as for a very long time, I have bought ₹189 Google play gift card from Paytm or Amazon pay, and got the family plan that way

With barely 1 or 2rs extra on the account and it never failed

Today, I just wanted to add a new credit card, and then I started facing this issue and now I can’t even use the Google play gift card as well.

Update : even after adding money it didnt work

I was supposed to give any sort of official govt id to google idk why

So i Gave them a Aadhaar.jpeg and they replied with a

“We’ll get back to you in a few days”

Am I supposed to use youtube without premium
Guys my family would kill me for watching ads on there phones on weekend

Massive BRUH

I got YouTube Premium via Times Prime few years ago. After that its really painful to watch YouTube without Premium. They just show any ads for 2-3 minutes without skip options, and some are not suitable for kids. So I go for annual subscription.
I think that Times prime offer was a trap :D

@SVK i see

Although i see one more option now ,to buy from Apple which is paying through the YouTube app on my iPhone but that attarcts the “iTax” and increases cost to 380₹ instead of 299₹

Which is just crazy.
