Google has kind of fucked up the scanner direct app shortcut in recent days. It used to open the scanner always. Now it would just load the last page on the app if it is still running in the background. This becomes a problem if you use it multiple times to pay in a short period of time. The app itself can remain in memory for hours so the scanner shortcut just behaves like a normal app shortcut that just opens the app. So stupid.
