I am optimistic of street view but the imagery may not look pretty good in for some parts of a city. may be u could see a tabelah, road side market, filth across street occasionally.
But then also i love India.

Very soon, once the roads are laid properly, and there is no traffic to stop their cars from moving freely.
wEll in that case looks like my great grandson *might* have a chance to use it one day.

Any one has idea about when Google will launch street view in India?
Heard quite a lot about Google cars being spotted but no results......

I do not this that this man is working for google. lol

Let india develop fully then there will be easy for google to present. If google tries to present right now, it will like presenting essel world and calling it india.

getting frequent comments on a blog post i made long time ago. even kalpik mentioned that he saw a car in delhi ncr region. i guess google is indeed working on the project and we might soon get an official launch for at least the metro cities.

makes sense. the google logo would attract much more attention causing problems for the folks driving the car. the cameras are already there. :D

google would probably be investing secretly in cameras that are smaller in size and can be hidden on the roof of the car :D

yaiiii google Indian street view now we will be able to see our street on the internet too :D

go to the window.

look out.

win!

duh.

anyways. i had love to check out streetview on the phone on the move. using streetview on the phone is much more fun as it uses the digital compass and as you move around the phone, it changes the view on the phone.
