Google Wave is now Apache Wave!

any one have a count of products from Google that was discontinued even faster than launch :wall:

people who were using wave actively are a disappointed lot.

i guess since the project's backend in open source, there is a possibility it could survive as a fork.

i had little use for wave. but i had never imagined they would kill it so fast.

i had expected them to make it a feature of their google apps platform where it could have been promoted better.

it had little use for regular folks. but for a group/company it was a pretty cool tool for collaboration.

buzz in its current version is well not going to accomplish anything.

Google Buzz should have been discontinued. Google Wave should have been integrated in Gmail.

Google did the opposite!

Wave probably makes more sense in Apache's set up than in Google's consumer space.
