The problem with this model is that it need constant data connectivity. whereas Cerberus can do the functions by sending an SMS to the phone

Well, this is their initial release. More features may be added at a later stage.

Yup. Google is in much better condition to offer more security. Sadly they would probably not try to hurt third party ecosystem with an extensive featureset.

I see only 2 options on web link. Ring and Erase data. Mine is stock Nexus N4. Anyone getting more options?
