great isps only for south

why isps like beam, act, etc are only for cities of south and other states why not in up haryana punjab. i havent seen speeds above 4mbps in my life even 3g limited to 4 mbps not more why ??

No 8mbps plans from Airtel?
Beam, ACT etc are only available in a handful of cities in the south. On top of that, they are (mostly) not available everywhere in those cities.

In chennai (main city) we have airtel and bsnl mainly,others available are you broadband,reliance etc that are restricted to only certain areas wrt feasibility.However the outer areas and few inner areas that in and around IT parks have some local providers additionlly.Indian ISP's are totally impotent bullshit.Affordability also matters.Edit: I forgot about ACT and other new entries to the city that are heavily limited to very very few areas.I also did leave out dumb ones like tata indicom,docomo which hardly few use.None worth the buck.Still waiting for worthy true unlimited/decent 2mbps post FUP service at affordable prices(atleast night boosts) comparable to other metros.

Chennai has very bad internet coverage when compared to any metro city.I mean there is no proper ISP like ACT/Beam etc.Reliance has very limited coverage.Only Airtel & BSNL are available with high rates sucking your money like anything.
Heard that even Beam is limited in hyderabad.I always prefer local cable internet providers.I live in a tier-II town in AP & have service provider called excell broadband which provides value for money.Their expansion is rapid & they have covered most of the towns in AP.BSNL introduced new plans in AP..but it's too late.
Waiting for 4G roll out.IT minister of AP told that 1GB 4G costs Rs35 after meeting with govt.officials & providers (reliance,airtel)
