As the title track of The Apprentice goes - money money money money....Every business has two kinds of customers - ones who pay for more than they use, and the ones who use more than they pay for. Unless category 1 profits > category 2 losses, business will go kaput.ISPs are no different. Today, businesses give them their highest revenues. The bandwidth left after satisfying business users is what they sell to people like us. That's why night time packages are offered at lower prices and/or higher speeds. Corporate use is negligible at night. This works on the economic/ accounting concept of marginal revenue. Look it up.Nothing is going to shut down. New things always keep on coming up. The rule-breaker is nearly-always one step ahead of the rule-creator. This has been so for most of human history. And that is not going to change soon.

6. Customer Service -
Customer service should be stopped from quoting response time in working hours. If they say 6 hours, it should mean 6 hours.
No request (including disconnection) should take more than 24 hours for completion. If it takes 24 hours or more, penalty = 2 days of plan rate.
If there is a downtime exceeding 24 hours but below 72 hours, penalty = 7 days of plan rate.
If a downtime exceeding 72 hours or there are more than two downtimes (greater than 24 hours) in a month or there are more than four downtimes (less than 24 hours) in a month, penalty = plan rate for one month.

Interestingly I was told by tata customer care my connection would be fixed within 24 hrs. then I called them up after 24 hrs and they tell me...24 hrs means 24 working hrs and we work from 10 to 5 30.After deducting 1/2 hr lunch time means they work 7 hrs so when they say 24 hrs they mean 3 1/2 days.

Funny shit huh!!
