L&T Finance Limited has been spamming me for a few months now. Now they sent me OTPs related to a loan application. How the hell do I find out what they have done. They should not have my email id and mobile number but they clearly have access to this data.

The whole thing has been a shitshow. They keep on sending me emails. When I pinged them on Twitter to stop sending me emails, they literally asked me for my mobile number 'so that they can contact me to help me'. I did not give them my mobile number but now I am getting OTPs for loans which means they do have my mobile number.

I have avoided giving away my aadhaar number but I was forced to do it for some purposes in recent months. I wonder if this is related to that. Plus their customer support does not respond to my complaints on email.

What a nice company this is.

1. Block your Aadhar number and use VIDs wherever possible. I get 2-3 failed uidai authentication emails every year from places I have never been to.
2. check your credit report to see if any loans have been issued under your details?
3. Maybe report the messages to your service provider? I doubt they'll take any action considering the nature of these messages but worth a try I think...

don't have any other suggestions

had to submit physical copy of the aadhaar number. uidai do provide a masked aadhaar download but vids are not provided in downloadable copies right? and no one accepts masked aadhaar downloads from the uidai website.

just curious... i should get a message from uidai if they have indeed gone ahead and created a loan in my name i imagine. maybe i am just taking the otps seriously. their website seems to have no way for me to check if i have a loan based on my email id or mobile number. they ask for a lan number or something.

would keep an eye on my credit reports. probably too early to appear right now.
