Hathway Broadband to double data allowance, give 1 Gbps speed to take on Reliance Jio

@siddhant764 @dextermorgan @salaxzar Thinking of getting this or Airtel. But I don't care about the FUP since won't be using that much. I just want speed to indian/international servers to be good. They have put some 'AFS' boards here(means not docsis but fiber?) but seeing how cheap their plans are there might be lot of congestion

Hathway is only good for Hathway to Hathway Servers and nearby same city server.

Hathway Delhi to any other server in Mumbai or other country sucks.

@salaxzar the issue has somewhat solved for now. Now sites running at above 10Mbps. Earlier even Facebook videos were buffering at auto quality (while YouTube was able to play 2k videos)

Google works perfectly because they have Servers in Delhi. 99% problems are solved because of this.

Ended up getting hathway before reading above comment since it was FTTH and no installation charge, and it's really pathetic. Getting 200mbps to hathway and 4-5 mbps on foreign servers. No point in choosing this over Airtel now IMO. The speeds are worse than Excitel.

Hathway to Hathway is always good but hathway to other servers is shit. They have poor routing and bad infra.

I get decent speeds to foreign servers for my 30Mbps plan. Here's the Comcast server you did a speedtest to:

Upload is a little lacking though.

My speed is also fine on international servers but yea it depends on area to area so might not be same for you.

It seems they're doing some sort of complex traffic shaping. Strangely only that SF server gets 5mbps, rest get around 20mbps. NL, Singapore servers get around 40-70 mbps. Moreover when I DL, I don't get more than 1.5 mBps. Strangely I'm getting 300-400 kbps on The Singapore Broadband Speed Test http downloads though full 1mBps on my MTNL connection. What's the point of all the fiber if you have to do this? I'll test more but I don't have time. Just wanted a connection that worked and Hathway doesn't seem good.
