I think they will stop analogue signal and will give all channels in digital mode..that time they will b in position to give 500 to 700 channels.

I hope so, but do you think this will ever happen? My cable operator of Hathway Hyderabad says that almost half of his customers do not have a STB, and this in a relatively upmarket area Somajiguda. It would take him a lot of effort to have them converted to digital.
Also, in most areas, Hathway Cable and Hathway Internet share the same co-axial cables bringing both cable and internet to the consumer as part of triple play. With broadband needs growing every minute, its not easy to eek out bandwidth unless analog goes.

This is not a problem.they will rectify this problem from Mumbai itself.Now Digitalization process is going on..so they shud do digitalization in metros so same will follow in Hyd also.

hathway mumbai had stopped normal broadcast in some areas. they have again started it. does it mean the digitization will get postponed
Probably they are doing some tests. A similar thing happened in Hyderabad when analogue transmission was unavailable for about 15 odd minutes while digital was not interrupted. It could also mean that they are adding/removing channels.

Heard that i can choose only the required channels and thus pay less.
Rs.5.35 per channel plus taxes
So, if i subscribe 30 channels, i'll be paying only 160rs.+taxes

Yes..it will happen..but only after digitalization..like DTHs Hathway also comes with plans and we can choose what ever we want.
