HBO Content Set To Move From Disney+ Hotstar In India

'Game of Thrones', 'Succession' & HBO content could move from the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service in India, according to local industry sources.

Indian industry analysts are speculating that Prime Video would be a natural fit for the HBO content – either as part of its SVoD service or with the launch of HBO Max as part of the Prime Video Channels offering in India.

Discovery+ is already available as a channel so makes sense HBO would appear on it as well.

Indian streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar has confirmed that it will no longer carry HBO content from March 31.

HBO's asking price is causing delays apparently.

There are around 175+ HBO Titles that will be removed. Whatever price they are asking, Hotstar should have paid them. lol
