HCL launches Rs 10,490 tablet in India - Hindustan Times

i dont get this! If tabs are being launched at 10000 bucks with 1Ghz processor..why are phones not launched at this price bracket?

because phones are one fourth the size and they have to fit the same shit in a much smaller package.

why are laptops expensive compared to desktops even though they are usually less powerful?

Interesting Price considering it has Capacitive Touch Screen with Full HD support but it does have inbuilt 3g support, a usb dongle can be used though hence the price range.Their 3g supported version AM7-A1 with weaker specs still costs 20k +
