HD renewal

Hathway is demanding 2400/- a year for HD in pune. I think this amount is too much for channel list which continuously changes. Currently all HD channels are blocked at my place.
What about other cities?

It is Rs2200 per year in Bangalore. They also have Rs600/3 months and Rs1200/6 months packages too.
Looks like your HD subscription ended so you are getting channels blocked error message.

Do they have option of just HD channels and other on A la cart basis?
I have Tata Sky and they dont have that option so I have to pay to get basic package + HD pack.
I dont mind paying them that much as in my house only HD channels are being watched and rarely some other.
Btw how many HD channels they are providing in 2400?

In Bangalore they provide total 27 HD channels. 2 are HBO HD channels and 1 is Star World Premiere HD. For these 3 channels you need to subscribe separately. So your annual HD subscription is for watching 24 channels. They are planning to increased the HD count. Once they are done with their work at back end, they will have lot of bandwidth to add more HD and SD channels.
As of now, you can have only HD channels without subscribing to any SD channels. But, once the packages(similar to DTH packages) are pushed to customers, I am not sure if it is possible then.
