Yeah.. A lot of people I know have got phishing SMS'es related to "account locked" including a person who opened an account in Feb 2023.

So if the data is only related to consumer loans and two wheeler loans, then how come hdfc bank is involved? Business standard being BS poster?

I have Savings account at "HDFC Bank" and Home Loan at "HDFC". Both are separate at moment, but planning to merge later.
I have not got any sms so far.

2 out of 5 mobile numbers in my family, received that phishing sms related to PAN and HDFC. Both these numbers are having hdfc savings account with credit card and no other loans. Wondering, whether this may be cause of leak?

I got an sms saying that my account will be closed and to update pan. The number was from bihar. So I guess my data is out there.

This is daily occurrence. Sbi, Paytm, hdfc and etc.

Not sure about the leak, but similar messages are coming even for non hdfc account linked mobile numbers

I got similar message for SBI few months back. I don't even have any active account with SBI. Just had Car Loan which also closed few years back.
After checking number on Truecaller, it was showing SBI Kyc fraud.
