Simply put the ONU in bridge mode but do define the VLAN ID associated with your PPPoE connection while doing so. I think there's some sort of VLAN aware bridging in place, at least that is the case for me because if I don't put a VID in bridge mode the connection simply won't get established but as soon as I put the VID associated with PPPoE in bridge mode, the connection starts working.

I do not have this ONT and cannot help because I don't know anything.
But,PON Mac address should be very hard to change as it is part of the Laser module OS which is a Real-time Operating System.
But,I wish you for the best.
Why do not you ask the LCO?
Why do not you use old ONT in bridge mode?

first if connection is mac binded u need to infrom lco for release of mac binding and if connection is not mac binded then u can directly use

I do not think that PON Mac address can be changed without using SSH.
But I think that @varkey would have more knowledge than me over this?
I just know that PON Mac address is generally not the part of the admin panel and can be only changed via serial port or SSH{not all ONT allow this}.
