I am on a 2Mbps downlink and 512Kbps Uplink plan acc. to that i should get speed of around 256 Down, but i am getting 180-190 only is it modem fault .

Please tell me ,does changing the modem will help.
if changing modem can help then please help me choosing a modem.

which modulation would be best ADSL2+ or G.DMT , and enabling SRA/Bitswap matters ?

G.dmt is probably good for u........ it brgs more stability than ADSL2+....... plus ur on 2Mbps so no need for ADSL2+...... only use ADSL2+ when on 8Mbps.......
I hav Enabled both SRA/Bitswap...... dont know wht those r ...... but they were Enabled in my router by Default....

Sometimes it may happen that the server from where you are downloading is busy or under heavy load so you are getting low speed than what you are being promised , try speed test on https://www.speedtest.net/ and see if you are getting promised 2mbps speed or not .
