you cant replace the genexis with a nanopi. it does not have the PON port.
You can bridge the ONT to nanopi and take advantage of the openwrt for networking

I use a r4s just fine.Have you cloned Mac id and setup the interfaces, etc right?

You can replace /content.asp in the url for /telnet.asp, that way you can change the mode of the router to SFU mode in order to act as a switch for the ethernet. You must configure the PPPoE and everything in the nanopi itself.
